CALL TO WORSHIP
PASTOR: Once the city was empty and broken, its streets filled with sorrow.
ALL: Yet we come, for God meets us even in desolation.
PASTOR: Though grief and loss weigh heavy, God’s mercies are new every morning.
ALL: Our hope is not in what has been lost, but in the Lord who restores.
PASTOR: God gathers the scattered, strengthens the weary, and redeems the brokenhearted.
ALL: We will worship with trust, for the Lord is our portion and our salvation.
PASTOR: Come, let us lift our voices to the One who turns mourning into joy.
ALL: With faith and with hope, we worship the God who makes all things new.
HYMN#438 Forth in Thy Name, O Lord
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
ALL: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent, for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.
