Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
Cason Kids Care is a “social action” club, whose purpose is to develop the children’s awareness of how they can make a positive difference in the world, through service to others. Each month, the children will learn about a different non-profit organization that is addressing a specific issue, such as hunger, or homelessness etc. Our group will work together as a team to do different service projects that makes a difference, through the non-profit we are supporting.
This year, we are participating in “Cards and Cookies” (raising money for Haitian artists so they can support their families), and will use our
Lemonade Stand to raise money for FFtP (Food For the Poor) and Alex’s Lemonade foundation which funds pediatric cancer research. We will also help the Homeless Coalition of Delray by creating a “Donation Station” to collect items for their Shower Truck. Additionally, we will help out with CROS ministries Bag Lunch Program, assist Operation Gratitude in supporting our overseas troops, serve our Senior Citizens as we learn to be sensitive to our older generation, and take care of “Planet Earth” with beach cleanup in the spring.
Participation in this club does not require Cason Church membership or an affiliation with any church. It is an opportunity to learn to serve others less fortunate than ourselves. We want the children to learn to be the kind and caring people that God intended us to be.
“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
